Abstract
Purpose: Obesity is a health abnormality causing excessive fat tissue in the body refers to a state of accumulation.. Recently obesity is rapidly increasing. So that an accurate assessment of visceral fat is very important. VFT(visceral fat thickness) measured by USG measurement of abdominal obesity evaluate whether the usefulness of the assay.

Methods: We included the 137 subjects who had visited in Korea Association of Health Promotion, Gyeongbuk branch from january 2012 to september 2012. We analyzed and measured their BMI(body mass index), waist circumference and the visceral fat by CT and USG. VFT measured by USG and CT VFA(visceral fat area) measured by comparison.

Results: CT of the high-risk group of visceral obesity is as follows: Men and more than 60, obese weight, respectively. CT visceral fat obesity is a gender (p£¼0.001), age (p<0.05), BMI (p£¼0.001) were statistically significant in the analysis of ¥ö2-test. In addition, VFT measured by USG (p£¼0.001) and CT visceral fat area showed statistically correlated.

Conclusion: The VFT measured by USG has several advantages, but the reproducibility of the measurement error in accordance operater disadvantages. If a objective and standardized criteria is made, we think USG VFT measurement can be an useful to CT VFA measurements.
